Two Bettys has alliances with local businesses and organizations that value the same things we do: fair labor practices, environmental justice and social justice. We love supporting companies that are doing great things in the community, and putting our heads (and resources) together to create positive change
MAIN STREET ALLIANCE MINNESOTA
Two Bettys founder Anna Tsantir serves on the board of the Main Street Alliance Minnesota, a branch of a national organization that gives small businesses a voice on the most pressing public policy issues across the nation. Their advocacy promotes vibrant businesses and healthy communities, and fosters socially responsible business leaders.
The Main Street Alliance advocated for a $15 minimum wage, and is working to help pass legislation that would guarantee paid family leave for all Minnesotans.
MOON PALACE BOOKS
Moon Palace Books is conveniently located one block north of Two Bettys HQ, which means we spend a decent amount of time nourishing ourselves with their perfect bubbly-crust pizza, and of course their well-curated collection of books. Next time you need a zine about gender pronouns, a kids’ book about community activism, or a recommendation on contemporary fiction, stop by and check them out. They’ve also been known to host Main Street Alliance events in their event space.
CLIMATE GENERATION
Climate Generation empowers individuals and their communities to engage in solutions to the climate crisis. They understand that climate change is a highly complex issue, and are committed to addressing the intersection of climate change and economic, social, and racial disparities, and working closely with partners who understand this interface.
LAKE STREET COUNCIL
The Lake Street Council is a resource for small businesses on Lake Street in South Minneapolis – they are a nonprofit organization that engages, serves, and advocates for the small business community. They help keep this vibrant thoroughfare safe, fun, and successful.
